and if we would have read the reviews we wouldnt have. The office people promised us the apt was ready to move in. Didnt show us the apt before signing the least. When we came up here to check it off after we got the keys, the carpets were DISGUSTING. There was red dirt everywhere. The closets still had a few items in them. One window was busted. The bedroom light did not work. The shower head barely ran. The garbage disposal was broken. Weve been moved in more than a week now and nothing has been fixed. Finally we just bought a new shower head, but theres nothing we can do about the other problems. Weve contacted the office twice and they havent helped. The neighbors are honestly kind of creepy. Theres trash everywhere outside. Loud music from cars in the parking lot. Inside the apartment itself weve tried to make nice, but its alot different then the one we were initially shown. Theres random holes in the walls. 10 layers too many of paint. Theres paint all over the tile in the bathroom and the appliances. Then in the bedroom door theres a severely failed attempt to patch up a place where someone obviously punched the door. Then next to it in the hall way is another place. They didnt show us how to set up the alarm system or anything. I do not recommend these apartments to anyone.

This is so sad...I lived in these apartments when they were first built and known as "Indian Creek Apartments" many, many years ago. I have lived in Denver now for almost 30 years and want to move back to OKC. I as SO shocked to see they were still around (just renamed) and the website looked great. I had emailed them for info and as of this writing, no response. Perhaps that's a good thing after reading these reviews. It's a shame that they've become like so many complexed in Denver for they were once truly wonderful.

I am curious to know has Aspen completed any of the repairs you mentioned? How is your living situation now? I'd also like to know why this problem wasn't reported to the authorities? Aspen must abide by rental laws too. They too can take a fall if everyone complains to the right authority NOT JUST THIS FORUM. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! ALL OF THE TENANTS CURRENTLY LIVING AT ASPEN PLACE READING THIS NOTE SHOULD GET TOGETHER AND FILE A COMPLAINT you won't loose your apartments because you complained OR HAVE YOUR RENT RAISED...THERE ARE LAWS AGAINST THAT ALSO. MORE THAN LIKELY, WHAT WILL RESULT IS A CHANGE IN YOUR PROPERTY MANAGER. ASPEN PLACE CORPORATE WILL BLAME YOUR COMPLAINTS ON THE PROPERTY MANAGER AND OFFICE STAFF AND FIRE MOST OF THEM. The conditions sound deplorable. Writer, it's been two months since your original post has any of your repairs been made? My current lease will be up soon and I was thinking about seeing the apartments at Aspen Place. I've driven past Aspen Place and it looks so quiet and pretty. Your post is so discouraging.
