I moved into boardwalk at the beginning of the summer 2007. We unfortunately had to move out because we no longer felt safe. I left my apartment for about 1 hour to take my dogs out for exercise. The maintenance staff is not always comfortable with my dogs so when I was out they came in tha aparment to change my air filter. When I returned I immediately noticed my wedding rings and my husbands gun had been stolen. The unfortunate thing was that my apartment was locked and had no evidence of being broken into. There was one maintenance man that admitted to being in my apartment while I was gone, and stated the door was locked when he got there and left. My apartment was NOT broken into. It was robed by the maitenance man. Boardwalk apartments did not fire or relocate the maintenance man that stole my stuff, and they gave us a difficult time getting out of our lease. They did not offer to pay for our moving costs or refund our pro-rated rent for that month. It is a horrible place to live and honestly you can NOT even trust the staff to have acess to your apartment while you are gone.....one of them stole our stuff. I wish it would have worked out, but it is just what you are wondering..........you get what you pay for. By the way there is not even one piece of equipment within their gym that is functional. Also if the sound control is horrible. Our neighbor complained when we walked in our living room passed 10p b/c it kept her awake (what are you supposed to do....crawl). One maintenance man did a wonderful job and seemed like a nice guy, but the rest of the maintenance staff is very shady. If you dare to live in these apartments, I would change your locks. If you are not a fan of children, do not live there. You cannot walk your dogs without 15 kids following you around asking if they can pet your dog or have a soda.
