I originally moved into Brookwood back in 1998 and lived there for a year in a townhome #107. While I lived there the downstairs part of my apartment flooded completely 3 times! I came home each time to find that maintenence had been in my apartment while I was at work and had completely trashed my apartment! All of my furniture and belongings in my living room had been moved to the center of the room, and the carpet was pulled up over everything!! I was absolutely furious!! I owned a leather couch and loveseat, glass tables and an expensive area rug. My entertainment center was in the middle of everything. I took pictures of everything and went to the manager to demand that my apartment be put back together and find out why it had flooded. On 3 separate occasions I was told that the water that had flooded my apartment was from a "fresh" water line. All along they had lied to me and it was actually sewer water!! They wouldn't even clean it! They would bring floor fans in to dry it and that was it. I finally had enough and moved out. Then circumstances changed in my life and I needed a more affordable place to live, I decided to give Brookwood another shot. I thought that if maybe I lived on the second floor I wouldn't have water backup problems again from neighboring apartments. I moved into a second floor 1 bedroom. The first thing that happened was the apartment that I was originally told I would get and went to see was actually not the one I got. The office made a mistake and put my deposit down on a different apartment!! I didn't find this out until I arrived with the U-Haul!! Being that I was on limited time with the truck I had to run around the complex with one of the girls and try and find another vacant 1 bedroom! After I finally got moved in I lived there for 1 year. The neighbors were extremely loud and constant partying was always a major problem. I'm a 28 year old single female with no kids and it was too much for me. The "rugrats" that lived below me put a pizza box in the oven and forgot about it, their apartment caught on fire and you could have cut the smoke with a knife in mine. The stupid notes the staff left on everyone's door's all the time always pissed me off! Duh we all know that rent is due on the 1st and late on the 5th. Parking sucked and personally there is way too much white and black and mexican trash over there. I had a family of 10 -------- living in my building in a one bedroom!!! I hated coming home and I constantly worried about my sportscar. The laundry situation is a major pain in the a$$!! Brookwood Village is the largest complex in the state of Oklahoma and 4th largest in the nation. Don't you think they would put hookups in'' Once you move in you are just another check. The staff are completely unknowledgeable and very unhelpful. My rent was always on time, I never had any complaints, my apartment was always clean and I even steamed my carpets before I moved out. I never saw one dime of my deposit. They even tried to charge me for stuff that was already broken when I moved in. So all in all I look at it this way, I gave them a second chance and I still got screwed. Don't live there, you'll definitely regret it and if you don't have any problems yet just give it some time.

THIS IS AWFUL! MY DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW ARE MOVING TO OK.SHE'S FROM AZ. HE'S FROM MONTANA. I FEEL BAD FOR ALL RENTERS IN OK. SO FAR!!!
