I lived here in an "Efficiency" apartment from April 2005-November 2005. When I first moved in I loved it, the laundry room was near and very cheap and the apartment, although extremely small, seemed worth the $399/month. After a month I started having problems with gnats(I am extremely clean) and despite calling maintenance weekly I couldn't get them to spray until the beginning of my 3rd month there. The walls were very thin and I could hear my neighbors fighting all the time. They have a "courtesy patrol" but all he does is drive around and hit on women in the parking lot. I was most disappointed when I moved out, after spending 3 hours deep cleaning the apartment (you could have eaten off any surface in the apartment) my security deposit was kept because they told me they had to hire someone to clean. I ended up receiving a check for $5.16 from my $100 deposit. Also safety is a huge concern here, several of my neighbors were robbed and I heard gunshots on several occasions. I would not suggest anyone live here unless they don't mind getting screwed.
