Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
Brookwood Village used to be a really good place, when I first moved in here a few years ago. Don't get me wrong, management and maintenance have both been absolutely wonderful! Management has always been friendly to me (except one girl in the office, but every place has one, right') and maintenance is always at my apartment to fix something within 36 hours of me filling out a work order online (which is also convenient...you can do it 24/7). But the people that live here are GHETTO. I've never had a problem with my car being broken into (thank God) or anything like that, but my windows were just shot at a few weeks ago. And about a year ago, some drunken idiot was in the "courtyard" in front of my front door, shooting off a gun into the air. What if he'd aimed wrong and shot into my bedroom window' The good thing about that (if there is one) is that the person was escorted off the property by OCPD the next morning. And the person that shot my living room window was kicked out in a few days (the only reason it took that long is because the woman that lived there had been there for 6 years). The neighbors in my building are great, but those are about the only people that I even remotely get along with. The people here are TRASHY, GHETTO, and can all fall off of the face of the earth, for all I care. The only reason we haven't moved is because the apartment we're moving into isn't ready until the middle of next month. This place is pathetic. In the laundry room, the washers are constantly leaking...Someone's going to break their neck walking in there one of these days. I've heard stories about people stealing clothes from the washers and dryers in there, so if you're going to do laundry in there, STAY WITH YOUR CLOTHES. You can hear your neighbors having a normal conversation at a reasonable volume (so forget about gameday). Parking SUCKS. I don't know where all these cars are from...I think some of them are abandoned, because they NEVER move. But seriously...we don't feel safe here anymore, and we're leaving as soon as we can.
