Deep ----- I mean Deuce

I have lived in Deep Deuce for 9 months and sadly I still have 7 months until my lease is up. Looks can be decieving. From the outside, DD looks like a pretty cool place to live. ITS NOT! Every problem that comes up takes at least 4 or 5 phone calls before anything is done if they actually do fix it. A mysterious closet outide of our apartment was leaking a foggy gross liquid all the way into the parking lot for about a month or more which smelled like something soured and rotten. After numerous complaints and the smell even coming into our apartment from the air vent, nothing was done. We finally had to call the Health department and police to have something done about it. Later on we had a rodent living in our apartment which got into the oven somehow and left remains. We could not find it but we could smell it everytime we cooked. We called and called and nothing was done. The noise is horrible-they are building all around and you will be woken up to hammers and large machinery. Pet droppings everywhere. If you live in the back apartment, you are not good enough to have grass or trash picked up around your building. You get a little patio to go out and look at the dirt and trash where grass and nice shrubbery would be if you lived in a closer building. Finally my roomate took the top off of the stove and found the source. There are times when we go months without our gate shutting which defeats the purpose of living in a gated community. When it snowed, there was at least a 6 inch tall pile of snow that had blown in through our living room door. That explains why our electric bill is always so high. Our front door and refridgerator looks like someone took a hammer and beat them both. We were told that would all be replaced when we moved in but 9 mo. later...still nothing. The staff is ridiculous. They act like a bunch of snotty teen-agers. You can walk in and need assistance but they are too busy playing in the back to walk to the front even if they see you. They sit around all day in the front ignoring everyone who walks in with the exception of one girl. They never stay open buisness hours, they never answer the phone, the list goes on. I should have known the first day I came to look at our apartment and she couldnt get the key off of a ring of about 30 apartment keys. She said she didnt want to break her nail and handed us the whole key ring upon our promise to return them. Seriously'''' WOW. Workers have walked into my bedroom when I was in bed home alone without knocking! Luckily i was dressed. And last but not least, the reason I decided to do this review-- if you are expecting a package, have it sent somewhere else. The delivery room is free for anyone to walk into and take whatever they wish. I just spent an hour on the phone with UPS trying to figure out a way to track a package which the girl in the apartment office signed for (the same girl that gave us all of the keys). Apparently it just dissapeared because my expensive package was not in the delivery room. I am fed up with this dump and cant wait to move out.
