Nice apartments & location - TERRIBLE management!

I've lived here for 3 months now. The apartments are nice, and the location is fantastic. That is the only reason I am staying here. The management is terrible. I put a deposit down 2 months before I moved in, and after I moved in, everything changed. All the price quotes on the flyers for cable/internet I received when I moved in were completely outdated and wrong. I ended up paying about $15 more/mo. than originally quoted by the staff. When I called their laundry center rental service they were out of stackable washers dryers. I was charged outrageous fees for amenities that were supposed to be included in the high rent. The gates were finally fixed 2 1/2 months after I moved in, and when I went to pick up my garage remote, they tried to charge me a $25 non refundable fee to pay for the remote. (Note- this would be fine if it were a deposit that I got back when I returned the remote... but it was a fee because "past residents hadn't turned theirs in." so why am I being charged for past residents mistakes') They told me I agreed to the fee in my contract, but after researching my contract I finally figured out that I had NOT agreed to it and they waived the fee. This same thing has happened multiple times for different issues that were not included in my lease. I feel terrible for the people who just pay the fees without looking back in their lease because they are being taken advantage of. Also, their trash compactor has been broken for a month now and 3 parking spaces are full of scattered trash that will not fit in the tiny dumpster alloted to our building. For the past 2 weeks, the outgoing mailbox has been broken. When you pull down the door to put your mail in, the locked back panel falls off and mail goes flying out. I sure didn't want my bill payment with credit card information flying around downtown. I would not stay here if I didn't love the location so much, but there is no doubt that the management here is terrible. I have to call at least once a week for one reason or another, and there are only a couple people there who are actually friendly and willing to help out.
