LEMON but also GREAT PLACE

Remember when you read these reviews you have to take it in with a grain of salt, People are usually mad and/or venting and I was when I wrote this and all these things are true...But NO PLACE IS PERFECT IF YOU ARE RENTING ....and the place you are renting is NOT brand new...When I look back I really did enjoy Deer Creek. And loved it as my home for a while... :)

I was so excited about moving into this community, I had eye-balled it several times prior to my arrival and fell in love with my huge walk in closet spaces. I gave this place an HONEST rating because honestly. No place is perfect and I do still Love this place and would recommend it but because I am a little angry to say the least I must vent...sorry about the typos

I'm a little disappointed in the level of professionalism this place holds. The staff never wants to help you,and will never tell you what your deposit is. The older lady that works at these apartments will literally run away from you if you come to the door and hide in her office like a hibernating...scared bunny rabbit.

At other apartment communities, I was always promptly greeted and always helped immediately.

When this lady runs from me there is another assistant in the office who will take LONG lunch breaks I've waited hours on occassionjust waiting to speak to her. She speaks poor English and I can never quite make out what she is saying, she in turn can never quite figure out what I am saying. No one can ever tell me what my apartment rate is and/or answer my questions. If you decide to move in, I have found it is sometimes much easier to call after hours and communicate with the answering company.

On top of all of this. That "scared bunny rabbit" is almost forcing me to leave. I've never been treating such as this. Whether I stay in my apartment once a month or once a year should really never be of her concern, as long as my rent is payed in full and on time, which it always is.

Also Once my bf and I were walking up the stairs and the stair fell beneath my boy-friend's feet (Yes literally fell loose) and he only had his arms to hold him and the railing. He is not a big guy, he weighs about 175 in fact. The emergency maintenance that stopped by to fix the problem kept blaming us, saying that my boyfriend MUST be heavy or that he must have been carrying something heavy, non of this applies. My boyfriend cautiously follows me as I walk down the stairs now always afraid I will fall through. He is such a sweet heart...but seriously I've never seen a whole stair fall beneath someonelike that.

My carpet was of poor condition when I moved in. And I'm really unhappy with it. There was also a fire in my apartment building several several months ago and they are only now ridding the building of the AWFUL smell that has been permiating through the vents. God only knows how much money I've spent on candles and air-freshner trying to supe the place up. My clothes ...All of my things smell like smoke...and They really could've been more prompt with the chemicals that take care of the odor a fire leaves behind.

Thank you for your time.
