Nice Place

I moved in last year in June. I live in one of the apartments next to the creek. I've seen a bunch of bad reviews about this community, so i just want to say something about that:

Yes, the place is not brandnew. The apartments are about 30 years old or so, i guess, but the whole place is very well kept though. Yes, the kitchen appliances are a couple of years old, the washers and dryers are not the newest, i had a problem with the kitchen faucet leaking once, but everything is nice maintained and if i have a problem, maintenance will take care of it. The landscaping is nice and well maintained, the parking is good, the neighbourhood is safe (with a police station right across the street). The place is about a mile away from lake hefner and there is a nice service road leading over to the lake, so you can even walk over there on a nice day.

About all the bad comments that i've seen here so far:

- Old buildings, old appliances. Well, it's not like you never had a chance to see the place before you signed the lease, isn't it ' You can see that the buildings are older, you can see that the appliances are not brandnew, you can talk to the tenants before you sign anything. If you ignore that and just move in, then what's the whining all about' It's your own fault!

- Frogs/Spiders/Crickets. There is the occational frog every now and then. Frogs like water, so do crickets and such. There are a lot of ponds and a creek running right through the middle of the place. You've seen that when you saw the apartments. Duh! ;)

- No parking/bad parking. Well... If you expect a parking spot right in front of your apartment, then you are probably out of luck. But i have _never_ had a problem with finding a parking spot in the same area around my apartment. If i'm lucky, i'll find a spot right in front of my apartment. If not, i might have to walk 20 yards. Come on people, use your feed! If you complain about that, you have never lived in a big city with _real_ parking problems!

- Staff: Well, i have never had any problem with the staff. They always have been nice to me. If someone adresses the staff the same way like they write bad reviews here, i can understand that they might not be too friendly. Treat people the same way that you want to be treated!

Long story short: This place of course has it's "negatives" (like i said, not brandnew, older appliances, frogs), but for the area and for the prices, it is an extremely nice and well maintained place. I paid the same rent at much worse places! If you are looking for brandnew apartments, brandnew appliances, a brandnew pool and parking right in front of your house, you should probably move to one of the newer apartments north of OKC or in Yukon or just buy your own house. Keep in mind, you pay a couple of hundred bucks more per month for a reason.

First of all sweetheart...I have lived there for 4 years, and it's gone down hill majorly. I said good things about the manager Pam....and the new guy thats working there is a doll...however the rest of the morons in there could care less about you or anything regarding your apartment problems. I am always nice and I try to maintain a good relationship with people especially those that are my landlords....trust me.I moved from San Diego and the parking there was way better and there were way more people living in our complex. The Invitationals would get better reviews if they cared a little bit more like Pam does altogether, and a little less about "their" money.
