I lived there for a year. The management was excellent, though the apartments needed some work. However, while I lived there someone bought the building and renovated it. I heard the manager say, "We finally got an owner that's worth something". I watched the multi-millionaire owner and his wife come and paint and hang pictures in the lobby, they brought in marble and granite and new carpet. They put some money into the lobby. It's nice to walk into and it's rather impressive to bring people to.
However, living in the apartment itself is a little bit different. I will say that don't know how much they were changing the actually apartment functionality in their renovations, but I do know they were putting down nicer cabinate tops and creating attractive features within the units. While I lived there, many of my outlets didn't work perfectly, the bathroom needed work, the oven never worked, and it took an army to open the refrigerator door. It's All-Bills-Paid, so the entire building is on one big boiler (I hear that the people who live above it have to listen to it). You can only turn your heat on when the whole building is turned on heat, etc. It was like Mid-November before the A/C turned over to heat. Then if there is a warm day and the heat is on and you can't turn on the A/C. And the elevators can be a challenge. The laundry room is a challenge (poor design).
If they fixed the wiring and updated the appliances, and recarpeted it would be a nice place to live. It's very safe and they have a nice pool and a nice game/entertainment area. The management is nice and the maintainance is and friendly and fun.
I will say that even with my stuff not working, it was high priced. Now that it is called, "Luxury", it may be more expensive that it's worth. It might be better just to make a house payment.

very accurate description of the building! the new owners put money into everything except the apartments! wow, how ignorant is that! i don't want to live in the lobby idiots, no matter how nice it is! ONLY A IDIOT WOULD LIVE IN LAKEVEIW TOWERS! INSTEAD MAKE A HOUSE PAYMENT MORONS! THATS 8000 TO 12000 DOLLARS YOU ARE THROWING AWAY A YEAR! A LEAST MOVE BACK IN WITH YOUR PARENT(S) AND OR SOMEONE AND SAVE YOUR RENT MONEY FOR A YEAR OR TWO! THAT'S WHAT I DID AND NOW I HAVE OVER $20,000 CASH MONEY ------- SAVED UP! I USED TO LIVE ON THE 15TH FLOOR AND WOULD THROW AWAY $695 A MONTH FOR A ONE BEDROOM! WHAT A RIP OFF!
