My husband and I have lived at Lincoln Greens for about 6 months now. We moved here from out of state and didn?t know very much about the area. After we moved in, we learned of the high crime rate in this area and that there had been robberies in the parking lot before. I don?t see how the gated entry helps because when someone enters, the gates remain open for about 30 seconds, giving anyone the chance to enter the complex. I do feel a little safer with the guards walking around at night, but I refuse to take the dog out alone in the middle of the night anymore, just in case. I will say I haven?t heard of any crime at our complex since we?ve been here but I still makes me a little nervous. The apartments are beautiful, and very close to shopping and Mercy Hospital. We have also had a lot of problems with the maintence here. A week after we moved in, we had a leak in our bedroom wall, and it took them a week to come check it out. Then our washer stopped working, and it took them several days to order a new part for it. Now, our dryer has stopped working and the maintence is taking their time at coming by to check on it, when we called about it over 24 hours ago. We have decided that we are leaving after our lease is up in a couple months to find something a little bigger and better, and in a safer area. Our neighbors have been fairly nice, however the guy next door to us SLAMS his door shut every single time he comes or goes, even if it?s 3am in the morning. We also feel like the insulation isn?t too great. In the winter, it?s cold in the apartment even with the heat on, and still pretty warm in the summer with the air running. If you are considering Lincoln Greens, it is pretty to look at, but I?d suggest to keep looking.
