I lived there for just over a year between 2006 and 2007, and only moved because I finally bought a house. The staff, with the exception of the manager, were all VERY friendly and helpful. The manager that came on towards the end of my stay was simply hostile, rude, and abusive. The only way I could get anything done after she was hired was to either 1) bypass her and get the friendly staff to take care of it, or 2) threaten her with a lawsuit. I've read some of the other reviews which have pointed out that the complex is in a bad neighborhood. They aren't lying. However I NEVER felt unsafe INSIDE the complex. I often went for walks within the complex at night, and felt fine. Moreover, the crime was all outside the gates to the complex.
The bottom line is this - the rent is fair for how clean and well maintained the apartments and complex is. Though it is in a bad neighborhood, the complex is completely fenced in, and I never felt unsafe taking long walks inside the complex late at night. The manager (at least the one in 2007) was unbearably rude and hostile, but the remaining staff was incredible....and with a little nudge (lawsuit threat), the manager will actually do her job. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars, and would give it 5 if they had fired the manager before I left. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
