I have always used Apartment Ratings to help me find apartments in OKC. Well, this time I went against my better judgement and leased a 2-bedroom at the Lodge on the Lake.

When the staff took me on a tour of the property, the grounds were well-kept and the neighbors seemed to be very friendly. I even had an elderly women say hello to me and welcome me to the community. The apartment I leased was clean on the inside and decent on the outside.

Let me say, that as school dismisses and as the sun goes down it all goes straight to HELL, and that is no exaggeration. I'll list it all for you so you will understand.

1: you will hear ghetto music BLASTING at ALL HOURS of the night.
2: you will hear fighting and glass breaking at ALL HOURS of the night AND during the day when school lets out at Putnam City (just down the road).
3: when you report problems to the office, they will tell you that you are either wrong, lying, or they make you feel like a moron for not wanting leaks and non-functioning appliances -- or even for enjoying running water.
4: unless you drive a '78 Plymouth Duster, your car WILL be broken into. They completely stripped out the inside of mine. Oh, when you call the police, even they will tell you to "get the hell outta there."
5: there is NO security.
6: the washers and dryers in the "laudry facility" do not work. They may start, but the washers will fill up with water and do nothing else, and the dryers will never dry anything except through time and evaporation.
7: in both bedrooms, no matter which side you go to for some peace and quiet, you will not find it. It doesn't exist at the Lodge.
8: finally, the "Lodge by the Lake" is a cute name for a dump by a pond that leads to cracked-out ghetto hell.

I could go on and on, but I'm tired of typing. Save yourself, your sanity, your car, your BODY, and your pride.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
