DO NOT WALK AROUND AT NIGHT-not because of possibly being kidnapped or robbed but because THE SECURITY GUARD IS VERBALLY ABUSIVE AND I PERSONALLY THINK NEEDS TO BE IN ANGER MANAGEMENT. We just started our lease and Los Pueblos is a very quiet community, maintenence is done on time and the male in the leasing office is the only one that has been completly honest with us. Everyone else in the leasing office is not trustworthy. Ever since we moved in we have heard complaints from neighbors about the security guard but two days ago we encountered the wrath of his verbal abuse. Dont get me wrong, he definetly does HIS job but he does try to step over the line. My fiance was walking our dog aprox 12am with a close friend of ours. The security guard seen them and wanted to see my fiance's ID, keep in mind he was not concerned with our friend's ID. My fiance and our friend went into the apt and closed the door, he was getting his wallet for the guard. My fiance was still walking up our stairs when I heard what sounded like someone trying to kick down our door(I was asleep but that sure did wake me up and trust me its not easy to wake me up). I got up and went down there to see what was going on, the guard was running my fiance's info(still never even concerned with our friends id) and he was being beligerent and verbally abusive to my fiance. I stepped in and asked the guard to calm down and just do his job but he wouldnt. Then he said right before calling the id in, "Ok well I know you are going to run when I find something on you so you better go ahead and get a head start now" So was he protecting us as tenants or was he just bored of being alone at night and just wanted to get his kicks for the night' The leasing office claims that there was a complaint made about two guys walking around smoking weed-SO I ASK AGAIN WHY DIDNT HE GET OUR FRIENDS ID IF THERE WAS A COMPLAINT MADE ABOUT TWO GUYS< NOT ONE INDIVIDUAL-We've made several attempts to inform the leasing office and management about the guards demeanor at night time but nothing has been done to change his demeanor and no apologies have been made to us for the time and suffering we had to endure that night. In fact, we moved to these apts because of the quiteness, safety, and friendliness of the community. Now we cant even walk our dog without worrying the guard is going to attack us. The leasing office lady even told me she has never had any complaints about the guard being rude and his demeanor-thats a complete lie because I know of at least two of our neighbors that have complained about his verbally abusive attitude. My advise is to have a tape recorder handy anytime you speak to any invividual that works for D&S management and make copies of any paperwork you give them because they will take the word of a pyscho guard over their PAYING CUSTOMERS anyday no matter the situation. Next time, Im calling the REAL AUTHORITIES if the guard even approaches us.
