I moved to Park Forest apartments in January. They had a $99 dollar move in special and that should have been my first indication that they were trying to coarse people to move in.I didn't have any complaints until the new management arrived. We have a ceiling that is not weatherproofed- water was falling on my husbands face, I cut my hand on the bathroom valves, the place is infested with roaches, the noise is ridiculous and when you walk out of your apartment you are surrounded by people, most that don't even live there. I can't even walk down my steps because people are sitting on them. They are are so rude,they hit on you and they won't move out the way. Random people knock on our door all the time, music is constantly blaring- you can always hear your neighbors arguing, I know of 5 cars that have been broken into and vandalized, and two apartments have been broken into- all close to my apartment. They brought security in and he does absolutely nothing but sit and smoke or stay in his car. It's funny that alot of the break ins happened after we got security. The assistant apartment manager moved out herself because she was scared, but when we tried to break our lease and leave they wouldn't let us. maintenance is pathetic- we have made so many requests and nothing at all has been done about it. We can't even cook on our stove because it doesn't cook properly everything slants and the oven burns everything. The sewage is horrible. The garbage disposal doesn't work properly and constantly backs up. The sewage backs up into the dishwasher and this won't come as a suprise but the dishwasher doesn't work either. I don't even turn on the cold water in the mornings to take a shower because the hot water alone does not get that hot. I have never seen steam come up. The best thing to do is if your are currently living here is to give 30 day notice and get the hell out. If you are considering this place drive right past Park Forest and drive as far away as you possibly can!
