My fianc`and I moved in on October 7th and it took them 4 months to come fix the toilet. The first time they came out was in December, but the maintenance man told me that the toilet was supposed to run 24/7 (I may not know much about this sort of thing, and my fianc`does, however, he wasnt there, but I know they arent supposed to run all the time! When we moved in, everything was dirty. I vacuumed before we put any furniture in there, and my vacuum was more than ' full by the time I was done with my 500 sq. foot apartment (did I mention that includes stairs that I didnt vacuum'). There was (Im guessing cat hair due to my allergies) cat hair on the floor along with a piece of glass big enough to really hurt someone. So, of course, yours truly cleaned it all, and they only gave us a 50 dollar check. And, due to both our schedules, neither one of us had the time to go their during their business hours. (I started to work for Papa Johns for a while, and they have a deal with Papa Johns where they sell pizzas for 4 dollars. I did that, and heard them talking about, guess who, my fiancn They were saying did he pick up that check yet' He bitched and bitched, and now we reimburse him, and he wont even come and pick up the check! Hello, have they ever heard of sending it in the MAIL [I couldnt get it because my name isnt on the lease or check.]) Back to the condition of the house: there was rice stuck in the floor. Our kitchen faucet leaked and, now that weve just about moved out, they still havent come to fix the water damaged/moldy piece of wood they put under the sink. Our fan was broken for about 4 months, and they still never came out to fix our microwave. They didnt fix the dish washer and it leaked EVERYWHERE. When we went to make our third maintenance request, they couldn't find the first two we had filled out, even though the lady said that she did fill it out twice for us, but the dude in their still said no. The walls were so thin we could hear everything - and I'm sure vice versa, our neighbors played rap so loud that every picture fell off the wall in our small dining room (I'm guessing a speaker was near there), and you could hear people walking outside. I asked for better weather stripping because our apartment had such a breeze that the curtain we put up as a door (we lived in an efficiency, was blowing so far into the room, it was ridiculous. Our air conditioner does not work. And every time we called to ask for someone to come out to fix our stuff, they would tut and sigh over the phone and say (our apartment number) as if we were nothing but a hassle. We paid our rent and water on time every month, and its not like we had the cops called on us due to any disturbance (from noise to fighting). They make you pay a fee of $25.00 for just about everything you dont do if you dont clean, theres 25 bucks, missing a light bulb 25 bucks per light bulb (which we were missing two or three when we first moved in! The law states that the maintenance man has to call one day in advance and schedule an appropriate time with you to come over, which they dont. Me and my fianc`were fast asleep and I awoke to the sound of a key being entered into my front door, and I shook my fianc`and the next thing we know someone is opening the front door and yelled maintenance, so he jumped to the top of the stairs out of a dead sleep and said Get the (censored) out of my apartment! For heavens sakes, what if we were having an intimate moment (thank God we werent). So, if I could, I would rate it a negative number, and would never recommend ANYONE live there!
