God I do not want to move again

I love many aspects of this place. I love the price. I love the space (I live in the big three bedroom with a patio and a yard) and I love the big courtyard right outside for my kids. I love the fact that crime is pretty much nonexistent here (except for the occasional block party at the Lighthouse next door. I love the fact that management doesn't bug you and that my neighbors are good people. Here's what I don't love. I don't love the fact that I am paying for two bathrooms and am only using one (mysterious unsolvable leak situation upstairs). I don't love the spiders, and they aren't the little meek suckers either. We are talking tarantulas!!! I don't love the mice that come from some strange place behind the stove. I don't love the fact that I am also paying for a fireplace that I cannot use because the flue won't close and more mice and tarantulas descend into my home. My fireplace is boarded up. I don't love the energy bills (at least $200 per month since we moved in) caused by the single pane windows and patio doors throughout the place. I don't love the fact that the complex will turn off your water without notice to conduct repairs. One day we without water for 12 hours. I had to wait for my husband to return from school so I could go to the store and buy bottled water for my son's bottles! The management lady is nice enough and the owner seems like a nice guy, but they are terrible supervisors. The maintenance team is HORRIBLE! Ken, oh how I hope you are reading this, I don't like alot of stuff here but I absolutely HATE you! Ken is the worst maintenance guy ever!!! Who had ever heard of a maintenance man who doesn't bring tools to fix something' Not I. My husband and I finally figured out that he does it just so he *pretend* to go back to his truck to retrieve tools and never come back. The jerk actually had the gall to yell at me once for calling the office instead of his personal cell to complain that our roof in my kids bathroom was still leaking TWO MONTHS LATER after he had been there multiple times (and forgot his tools every time). Now mold is growing within the walls of the bathroom- yea! I really don't want to move again but feel like I am going to have to move on from here. I love it and I hate it and could probably make it work if it weren't for the maintenance staff, water issues, and spiders. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

I feel your pain. I could practically ditto every single solitary point you have made. It is a shame that such nice spacious apartments, in a lovely part of town, have to be run so inefficiently. DeJaVu - memories of spiders, mould in the bathroom, water leaks and horrible maintainance staff just echo my own experience with this place. And worse ever, the owner and manager seem to be completly clueless - or perhaps they simply don't care. Where one sucker leaves they figure there's another one. Another thing that you didn't mention that I encountered is that when we were desperatly needing repair work that was IMPORTANT (like water leaks etc.) they'd have staff busy painting fences on empty unrented apartments. Go figure!
