I just moved to OKC and I live in a very nice sized apartment where everything is just falling apart and it's been three weeks already and the landladies, have done absolutely nothing to help the matter. I have mold on my faucets which are dripping, the shower doors are falling of the rail, the heater does not work in every room, and the dishwasher is so nasty I'm scared to even look at it.
I heard that there is nothing I can do about this. I was wondering if it is true. I can think of one think I m doing MOVING OUT!!!!! That s what. Is there a place I can go talk about this so we can get some action or do tenants just pay money for having a place to live in and not a decent reasonable place they can make a home' Quail Lakes is a big fat joke!!!!! BIG FAT JOKE!!! DON'T BOTHER, GO GIVE YOUR MONEY SOME WHERE ELSE. SERIOUSLY!!!!!
I think it s shame to require people to pay rent and not bother fixing issues they are having with the place they are renting. The money we pay is so they can repair and maintain the apartment complex , But if none of that is happening why do we pay rent or why pay high rent'
Are they allowed to treat people like this I want to know' Please help me understand. This is my first apartment and when I live with my parents before we got our house, we rented at Cimarron Townhouse in Stillwater, OK. It was a nice three bedrooms townhouse. Every time we needed something the landlord, Kenny, was there immediately, and when he could not he should contact us and let us know what was going on and when he believe he could respond to the matter, and that has always been my idea of a landlord/landlady, but I guess not everyone has ethics and morals like Kenny does.
My very first apartment and already such a bad experience, I feel cheated and very disappointed. It's a gated community but the gate broke god knows when and it was never fixed. I've been here since beginning of February and it never closed, not once. And we pay extra for this as well. (LOL) What a joke!!!

I had to scrap some of that mold myself until a friend and my mom told to get away from it and call the landlord who does not seem too concerned. They told me that it causes chest infections, allergies aggravation is already existent, even Alzheimer s. Yeah, that stuff is not joke!!!!

Are you kidding me? How old are you? All you have to do is clean it up with bleach or Lime Away. The "nasty" you mention is just normal wear and tear. Maybe you should just get your mommy to clean your apartment for you, since you don't sound old enough to buy cleaning products on your own.

Ignore Anonymous! Whoever that is is totally uneduacated and ignorant. I agree with what your saying and that is the reason we moved out of this apartment complex also. One of the biggest factors is the drug dealing that we personally saw and the idiot and stupid staff they have in the front office. It would not surprise me that Anonymous is one of them. My suggestion is move as quickly as you can!

I live here and plan on moving in a couple of months. Everything you said is correct, ignore anonymous. When I moved in I thought my shower floor was stained then I cleaned it, no more stain. So it wasn't clean when I moved in. My ceiling fan was covered with dust, all of the baseboards were filthy and I was accused of having "high standards". Ummm, no moving into a clean apartment should be the norm! Every maintenance request I have out in in the last 7 months have taken 30 days or more to be resolved and it was after I contacted the office. I was told the maintenace sup said it was done. Really, leaking faucets, water leaks from under sink pipes, dishwasher works only on one cycle and the prong like dividers are rusting and falling off. I was told I had one of the new ones. When I was cleaning my toilet my towel kept coming up with this thick black stuff. I investigated and located thick, slimy, black "growth" under the tank behind the toilet seat. Ok, yeah, I gagged. I know that hasn't been touched in years. I would not recommend anyone moving here. If you do live here it won't get better and I was told that from an office worker! Bottom line the issues with this complex are bigger than the staff and until the owners get off there pampers butts to do their job it will take a disaster for anything to happen. That's sad but true. And guess what, ceilings and floors falling in don't count. I know residents who it happened to and they were not compensated for their loss or damage to personals. Anyway, I could go on but the majority of people who have lived here all have the same story, run!
