These apartments used to make living here workable for resident. This has changed with the addition to management of guy my wife calls 'mr. powertrip'. There is 1 dumpster here for entire complex. He told my wife trash pickup, though only 1 dumpster, was a 'courtesy', not a necessary service for us (despite 1 dumster). We used to put trash out night before, no problem. If you get something on casual clothes/hands - no problem to change/whash up. Now I'm forced to add extra chore to busy morning routine. Trash may only be put out between 8-9 in morning 3 times week. I'm showing up for work with hands smelling like trash, or if I'm lucky - something leaks on my suit like last week and I'm late for work. New policy interfering with my job so need to move. If complex is doing this to force resident to walk to dumpster themself, why aren't putting in more dumpsters every three buildings like other complexes' At Stonesleigh beside us we checked out, they pick up trash 5 times week at resident's doors. Our apartment don't like unsightly tied bag of trash at night, now we all smell like trashmen in time for work in morning.

Manager's Response

From: Manager Date: 10/09/2007
Please let me clarify the trash policy: Trash is picked up curbside on M-W-F mornings beginning at 9am. Trash may be set out between the hours of 5am - 9am. We do not allow trash to be set out overnight to keep animals and birds from tearing open the bags. We do enforce the rule regarding the bags being tied. This is to keep the trash from blowing on the grounds. You are certainly welcome to take your trash to the compactor at any other day or time.

Wow. You're actually complaining about getting your trash picked up. I have never heard about the staff going to a resident's door and picking up the trash. You should feel spoiled that you don't have to take YOUR OWN trash to the dumpster. Wow.

Actually I am a resident too and I agree with you . That was a selling point to me when I moved in. I hated taking my trash to the dumpster when I was in college. Additionally, I have to be at work at 7:00 and once a week I get a notice that I put my trash out the night before and will be fined then I have to take time from my day to call and protest. Also, I cant stand "mr. power trip" either talk about a jerk
