I've lived here almost 6months and loved it at first. But now, I can't wait until my lease is up!!!! First of all, these apartments were made very cheap.....you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around at all hours! In fact, you can hearl all your surrounding neighbors. It's horrible. The ceilings creak, you can hear when they start their shower, dishwasher, etc. The landscaping crew needs to learn how to properly mow and bag grass. I keep getting notices on my door b/c the trash people say my bags weren't tied tight enough!! Are you kidding me'' And don't let them fool you. They tell you when you move in that the trash pick up is a courtesy service....that's crap....it sure does show up as a fee on my water bill. And finally, the lovely lazy managment. I wonder what they do all day long. Because they sure don't fix anything in my apartment or other people that i know that live here. I've been waiting for 4 1/2 months for my alarm battery to be replaced....still waiting. I've called the office more than 5x about it! My name still hasn't been put into the gating system and i've called several times about that. I know some of these things might seem like no big deal, but not when I pay nearly $700 a month in rent. And that's why I rent, so someone else can fix things immediately whenever I ask!!!! Oh, and one more thing if you want to go swimming at the pool, get in line. There's always so many people having huge beer drinking parties that don't even live in the complex. This place is a joke for as much cash as they expect you to pay.

On behalf of the staff, I just wanted to take a moment and respond to your comment. We make every effort to ensure that everyone living at Quail Landing is satisfied. In apartments hearing your neighbors walking above you is unavoidable if you live down stairs. In reference to the trash, we do enforce that all bags are securely tied. This is to keep our maintenance crew from spending time chasing blowing trash around the property instead of completing service requests. The "complimentary" part of the curbside trash pick up is just that, the curbside trash pick up. It is a convenience provided so you don't have to walk across the property to take your trash to the compactor. We were the very last property in our area to start charging for water, trash, etc. Service requests are completed within 24-48 hours, however there can be delays. Emergencies occur, contractors must be scheduled and if you have a pet that can also delay your service. The alarm systems are servcied by a contractor. When you call us, we call them for a service request. For future reference, if there are "drunken parties" at the pool, please call the office and after hours call our courtesy patrol. This is certainly not allowed.

I love reading reviews like this, read several today at differnt complexes. I swear I read the similar things about Sycamore Farms (probably you) and the same thing about Stoneleigh on May (Probably you). Here's some advice. Buy your self a house and shut the hell up! You chose to live in an apartment...an apartment! Hearing neighbors is part of it. Apartments are built to make money! Period, end of story. I love how not getting a battery for your alarm system means nothing else gets done? Thats crap. How freakin hard is it to tie a trash bag...who has problems figuring that out? Maybe a 6 year old child.....And water garbage and sewage bills are issued from the city to the apt complexes and you probably have a third party that bills you. Right? Cause that is how it is here in Dallas and most places I have checked in OKC. And the fact they pick it up from the curb is a courtesy...try having a ghetto trash dumster with bums living in them that you have to drop trash off at yourself, maybe you would like that better. Get your facts straight. I hope you get to read this cause people like you irritate the hell out of me and I will not let you effect my shopping and people who read this should not pay attention to idiots like you. Good luck finding something better...cause from what I have read....nothing exists that meets your standards...ANYWHERE!!!

Poster strongly suspects that Cody from the office staff posted the disprespectful anonymous response here dated 8/06/2007 above. Cody from the office has gone off on a similar tangent to me along the lines of...if you don't like it (in regard to noise), then why don't you just go buy a house...knowing full well I couldn't or I wouldn't be renting. It's the renter's equivalent of "let them eat cake" when there is no bread to be had. His talking down to tenants comments usually ends with a smirk and laugh that are all too telling. If we qualified for home loans in the current loan market, we'd get them and build up some equity in a home. Renters typically rent b/c they have no choice, and they are at the mercy of landlords and management to treat them with some basic dignity and respect, not to mention fairness. All concepts that chip-on-his-shoulders tenant-hating Cody fails to grasp if he even has the ability to do so with his never-ending need for a sense of self importance at the expense of others in his tones and attitudes. I feel Cody is the type of person who would cheat a homeless man out of his only meal for the week, and then be proud of himself for being smart enough to have tricked this one less fortunate. I don't know of any tenants there who have had to deal with Cody's haughty and wrongful behavior who don't think he is a poor excuse for a classless human being.
