I am a graduate student and I am trying to decide if I should rent a two bedroom (thats all thats available in august) from QL, which I liked when I visited. I thought the grounds were well kept and the staff was VERY nice, or should I rent from syacamore farms' I read some reviews on here about both and I just need some honest opinions about Quail landings...Thanks for your help!

I have had no issues while living at Quail Landing for the past 5 years. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The few times I have needed maintenance assistance they have responded in a timely manner. I think I have only had one issue with excessive noise from another tenant in the entire time I have lived there and other residents have always been friendly. I would recommend Quail Landing to anyone looking for a place to rent.

I would agree with above that this is a great place to live. Its well run, has a nice pool and hot tub, any maintenance requests are taken care of in a timely manner, and I have always felt safe. The location is also great. Good luck in grad school. Hope this helps.

I toured when we first moved to the city, and I was unimpressed. The units were very cheaply made and were just your typical apartment complex. Pictures of them appear better than the place actually is; this had been my #1 choice by online research alone. It is just your typical apartment complex. I felt the unique enclosed stairways to upstairs apartments were unsafe--a haven for bugs, spiders, and potentially a great place for people to hide and wait for you while you're coming home or going out. The carpet, fixtures, crown molding, counter-tops, and appliances were all cheap. I've never been to Sycamore Farms, but from its outwardly appearance, I would venture to say it's even worse. If I were you, my number one priority would be safety, as you are single and a woman(?). I would look downtown at either The Montgomery (very safe and pretty nice apartments), Sycamore Square (seemingly safe, outdated apartments but you might be able to get an updated one), or to the NW at Garden Gate (very safe, private garages, great apartments), or even The Classen (very safe and very nice apartments). All of those except The Classen are within the same price range as the two you are looking at. |
