affordable/safe when facing featherstone road

My apartment is on the south end of the complex facing a major road near the entrance. I relocated to OKC and chose this apartment due to its price and proximity to work. Because my balcony overlooks a major road, I feel safe because I am not buried deep within this very large complex. However, the large lawn light in front of my unit hasn't worked for years.

Maintenance has been good, although I did have to lean on them for quite a while when my hot water heater died. They replaced it promptly, but with a defective unit. It took about a week to finally convince their daily maintenance people that I needed a replacement. They kept trying to diagnose the problem and made little adjustments daily.) Great parking up front. Noise can be a problem, but I live in a great building (#1) with older tenants with regular business hours like mine. The grounds do need sprucing up. I understand the rent is affordable, but I wish management would increase the landscaping budget.

Yet another maintenance problem that took over two weeks to fix has soured my opinion of this place. My A/C went out in the summer, and maintenance personnel wouldn't call a professional HVAC company to fix my cooling unit. Days after placing the initial call, they appeared for this first time and "fixed the problem." I placed another call hours after they left indicating that the temperature inside my apartment was 95 degrees. When they returned, they did some work and "fixed the problem." Well, I had to call again to let them know my inside air temperature was unbearably hot. I requested a couple of window unit immediately, which they brouhgt to my apartment within a couple of hours. Finally, they fixed the unit approximately 15 days after my initial call. Keep in mind I was calling in mid-summer.

I am not signing a new lease. Thank goodness my lease ends the last day of August.
