I am thinking of moving into Sunnyview apartments very soon. I've already been by to look at them (they are ok, but I would like something not so worn down-looking). Im applying for a 3 bedroom unit & they told me one will be available on 4/3/09. So I got an application, filled it out, and turned it in last weekend. But when I was there turning it in, I asked to speak to the lady that I spoke to before and they told me she no longer worked there'' So anyway, I give the employees my completed application & they tell me the 3 bed is still available but that the move-in date was changed to 4/10/09 and possible might be as long as 4/17/09 that it would be ready. The reason for this they said is because maintenance workers can't work on it until it is leased' That doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. They want me to put the $250 deposit down on it asap so I can reserve it for when it is ready, but im not so sure I should do that.. with them giving me different dates when the apartment will be ready. Can someone with first-hand knowledge of these apartments please give me some advice/recommendations' BTW, they did show me the inside of the model 2-bedrm apartment, and I thought it looked ok. I like the fireplace and the long hallway. Thanx in advance..

Find you someplace else to move , i have first hand experince with these apartments i leased there from 2000/2001 i had a one bedroom . then i has a 2 bed room from 2002/2003 then a 3 bed room from 2004/ 2006 let me tell you something the reason why these apartments cannot be worked on until they are leased is because there is never enough money, to run the complex , the staff are floaters you will never deal with the same person , also mantince is never around , there is a high crime rate in that area and lots of child molesters , near and around that area. just think about this if they cannot work on the apartment next door to you until it's leased your going to have roaches and whatever else they left behind she really meant to say is that they could not clean it until it was rented , there is also alot of pass threw traffic , this is not a safe place to move and oh your fire place , will freeze you out in the winter do to poor insulation if you happen to move there anyway just look at the way the building is made the wood is placed over brick and there are huge gaps in the foundation. my electric bills for a 3 brd room ran me about 279.00 a month trying to keep my family warm the windows are not double payne . also there are lots of leaks and plenty of bad plumbling to the right of the office oh and buy the way they always cut off the water to try and rig the plumbing , and they don't tell you so get ready for a cold evening shower ,these statements are true, they also have a hard time paying there bills like sanitation , they did not have a trash pick up for about 1 month and also get ready for the nats aka furit flies . please go somewhere else don't move here i don't care how they dress it up it's the same old ---- , and you can only repair a 30 year old complex so many times. i would only say they were ok to live in if they were torn down and rebuilt .STAY AWAY you will regret it if you move there .

I say that you give this apartment a chance. I'm living there and it is fantastic! The workers is out there every day, working hard. About that lady that you said was no longer there. Well, the only lady that is no longer there is because she received a much bigger job offer. It was a great move for her and she was supported to accept it. The lady still live on the complex. The people in the office is very friendly and they work hard. I say that you should ignore the attacks the others put on Sunnyview, because they have not experience the new management. The office even paid for an electrican to come out to install a plug needed for the washer/dryer. It is a really great place to live. Affordable prices for spacious spaces. They are managing the money just fine. I haven't seen any problem. The only issue was that the new boiler they installed (under new management) was having an issue and they spent a lot of time and money to get that boiler to behave. They even employed security to patrol the campus and I see people out and about on the complex. It's very friendly, peaceful, and nice. I have no problem being outside at night, because I can see the patrol car sitting out there! LOL Give this place a chance. You won't regret it.

I also live here and there is someone patrolling at night and doing a good job. Jerre in the office is the one who is sometimes a bit "too" into your business. A friend moved some of his stuff in my place for safe keeping and i got a unauthorized occupant violation the next day when he wasnt even living there. There was also 2 cigarettes outside my balcony and i got a $25 dollar fine for littering, so about them being money hungry, thats a yes. If you do have a maintanience problem they do get it fixed though....usually. The apartments aren't very well put together like the other person said you can only rig 30 yr old apartments for so long. they paint over everything. They have had trouble with leaks lately and said we would be getting new roofs....been a month...no new roof yet just wilting away tarp over the roof. Yea its cheap but it is for a reason.
