Landlord's office personnel a real problem From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/31/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   The office staff here are abrasive and defensive. They make living here a horrible headache. Personal conversations take priority over tenants who have been left standing around for over 15 minutes waiting for all of them to finish running their personal lives over the phone. I find this 100% disrespectful and distasteful, because I don't want to know about all of their sorted personal problems that I can't help but overhear while left uncomfortably standing around. I have never been helped within a few minutes of walking into the office to inquire about a problem with my apartment. This is a real problem because the washer/dryers are constantly breaking, as well as the dishwashers and hot water heaters busting (which flood apartments). Toilletes run because they break frequently, and cause high water bills. A simple call-in to the office does not result in prompt response - you basically have to go in and demand proper maintenance requests handling in person to get anything done around this place. Further, scorpions get in apartments here and have harmed people's pets. These things can be deadly to small animals, but are the staff here responsible' No, they claim they are not responsible for any of their negligent acts. Further, no matter how many complaints you call in about noisy neighbors - nothing gets done about them. All noise complaints here I know of are listed as unconfirmed - and hey must be listed as confirmed to count as one of the three warnings giving to residents before they either have to shape up or leave. They are so desperate for tenants here, they don't care if tenants they move in disturb others from sleep as long as they get the rent checks. A day care was run out of a tenant's apartment here, with tons of screaming children running around everywhere, and nothign was done about it. Car break-ins: I don't know of a building who hasn't had tenants in it who've been hit with broken windshields and missing stereo systems. Claims that the problem was handled are a bunch of hooey. Nothing gets done here except for the staff running their personal lives when they should be running the apartment complex. This is obvious to tenants, but the owner of this place must not care since they keep them employed regardless of how it affects those who have to finish out their leases here. I can tell you about the personal problems that 2 out of 3 of the staff are currently having here, and that is simply unprofessional. If you want to hear staffers scream at their boyfriends while at work, then move in here. These girls are drama-queens, and just egotistical enough and crass enough to think the rest of us should suffer because of the manner in which they run their personal lives.
