I moved to The Warrington in September 2005 after a friend had recommended the community to me. Oh, how I wish I hadn't listened to them. Immediately after moving in, I was assaulted with a barrage of maintenance issues that consumed most of what little precious free time I had. I actually saved some (not all) of the maintenance work order forms that were completed by the office.
10/16/05 - I requested the that my apartment be sprayed for ants after a small invasion took over my kitchen, dining room, and bathroom.
11/10/05 - Ants came back, requested apartment to be sprayed again.
12/09/05 - Antiquated washer became off-balance. Time for repair.
12/21/05 - Guess what' Ants came back again. Time to spray same places as before, except now they were in the closet. Did I mention these were red ants'
12/27/05 - Ants again. This time (after three months of spraying) they had the foresight to bait for the ants rather than spray.
01/27/06 - Happy New Year! My utility doors fell off track and the smoke detector stopped working.
02/10/06 - The dryer vent hose (spelled "hoes" on the maintenance slip) detached from the wall and the porch light died.
02/14/06 - Porch light finally replaced.
04/01/06 - Multiple issues... 1) the weather stripping fell off the front door; 2) the base of the kitchen sink was rusted and staining the sink; and 3) the washer broke on 04/02/06 and flooded my apartment, as well as the unit below.
05/13/06 - Ants are gone, but now we have brown spiders.
05/23/06 - The AC vent (located in the kitchen ceiling) started pouring water. Turns out the AC condensation line was clogged.
05/23/06 - Came home from work at 5:00, the apartment was infested with hundreds of houseflies. This one's still a complete mystery.
06/01/06 - The dryer started smoking and smelled like burning rubber. Rather than come investigate immediately, they actually suggested that I call the fire department.
06/02/06 - Washer stopped agitating.
06/23/06 - The AC vent in the kitchen ceiling started leaking again. This time the wall was ruined by the flood.
07/06/06 - AC vent still leaking. Surprise surprise, the condensation line was clogged again.
07/31/06 - Our new washer and dryer were installed. Too bad they were hooked up incorrectly and maintenance was called out to fix.
08/01/06 - Hmm. The new washer was STILL broken.
08/15/06 - AC vent still leaking.
08/21/06 - Garbage disposal stopped working, and ended up being replaced.
09/06/06 - Apartment infested with small black bugs.
11/27/06 - Apartment became infested with maggots (you read correctly, MAGGOTS) after an animal became trapped in the chimney and died. It took several days before the office would send someone out, however Kathleen herself came out and inspected the maggots and had the gall to inform me that she grew up on a farm and they were actually worms. Sorry, Sunshine - research doesn't lie. The apartment actually smelled like death.

2007 brought a myriad of new issues.
* My husband was attacked by fire ants after standing on the sidewalk for 30 seconds.
* Our car was vandalized. Kathleen wouldn't even look up from her desk when I laid that one on her. According to her, "cars get broken in to in parking lots. It's a fact."
* I found a bullet in my parking space. Super.
* A scorpion found it's way into the apartment.
* Three ceiling leaks due to heave rainfall. While I can't fault The Warrington for this, I can, however, blame them for ignoring the work order (which stated all of the areas that needed to be re-painted). Maintenance came in and sprayed willy-nilly, not covering anything, and ruining picture frames and pieces of furniture. The icing on the cake was when they painted the bedroom where my cat was isolated. The room didn't need to be painted, and they carelessly locked the cat back in the room with the fumes when they finished. Had they actually read the work order, they would have seen that they were specifically instructed not to go in the room because of the cat.
* Security was and still continued to be a joke. I stopped calling them for the constant noise complaints and just started calling the police.
* My next-door neighbor and her hillbilly boyfriend listened to music at deafening levels.
* The water was turned off for hours, sometimes days at a time -- without warning.
* Same neighbor flipped off my husband and myself one day when we started his car. She later contacted the office with a noise complaint about our "blue camera" and all of the "noise pollution" we caused. Kathleen ballooned that one into "several complaints" and went so far as to lie about us sitting in the car and revving up the engine for several minutes, and threatened us with eviction.
* The status of my rent payment (the fact that it was received on time) was discussed with another tenant that also lived on the property. This person wasn't on my lease, and Kathleen had no reason to discuss my rent with them.

When we finally wised up and put in our notice to move, Kathleen actually went so far as to lie on my move out report when she put "moving into house" after not even having asked why I was moving. She knew why we were moving.

This person is correct. However, she didn't mention the part about the Warrington being home to OKC's gangsta population.

The K-beast is still there?! I don't know how she keeps the fire from coming out of her nostrils long enough to trick anyone into a lease...
