Pretty, friendly, with serious energy problems, moderate strucutral decay, safety issues

Serious energy problems, especially evident in the summer. Pretty landscaping; generally prompt maintenance response; overpriced for what you're getting in an old building complex with a lot of decay. Disappointing security, if any. Annoyingly narrow parking lots. New gym after a sufferably long wait. Let me elaborate a bit.
Our air conditioning looks like an old model from a Third World Country, as do many, which you can easily see because they are situated on the ground. When we asked for a new one due to summer energy bills being close to over $200 per month, it was clear that they weren't having it, they were going to resuscitate the terminally ill patient till the bitter end. They said they kept a few brand new A/C units in their storage for the absolutely dire, total-break-down emergencies. It is clear in the summer that you're also paying to cool the general OKC area; and in the winter, you get to pay to warm the general OKC area, as well. The energy leakage via doors and windows is blatant. If you're in a town home like we are, get ready to adjust vents seasonally.
The landscaping is generally pretty there's some trailer-trash looking spots, but overall very nice, especially in Spring and early summer.
The buildings are decaying and we know Corporate could do a lot more, but these corporate lords are all the same: The aristocrats trickle the bread crumbs to the villagers and only fix what is desperately needed.
Not so sure about security: Our car was stolen actually, and we have seen 2 drunken brawls in the streets here where we almost had to call the police while witnessing it from the upstairs. We've never seen a patrolling security guard; and really, just 1 wouldn't be enough given the size of this place. We should all have security's number for just the events I described above.
The parking streets are like we're living in Old Europe or something, with barely room to back out. Most are one-way due to this problem. It was obvious that the owners wanted to cram as many paying-renters in here at the expense of decent parking. So, if you try and park at night, you may have to park quite a ways from your apartment.
The gym is actually fairly nice but, it was only recently refurbished after that interminable "we're getting bids" rhetoric you get from management; sort of like when you're on hold with Citibank and they say, "we value your call, please hold for the next available operator"... That gym was on hold forever and a day. For awhile there, it seemed like the Palestinian/Israeli negotiations were quicker than getting bids on a refurbished gym.
Generally quiet, except for some dog issues, overall pretty landscaping, friendly management, adequate maintenance, some dog barking, some moderate safety concerns, and very poor energy issues. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG
