My wife, 13 month old daughter and I have a serious noise problem with the neighbors above us. Our neighbors are 2 college aged girls that like to party and bring home a dozen friends a few nights a week. They are underage and like to drink until the sun comes up. They start up around 11pm and end around 4am. They bring guys over who become belligerent drunks that like to wrestle each other and make noise. Sometimes I think that they might fall through the ceiling and break their necks. This has been going on for 6 months. We have talked to our neighbors about it, but they still continue to disrespect our peace. We have notified the office staff, but they haven't done anything about it. We have even called the police and complained about the noise disturbance, at least a dozen times. It is pathetic and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I would like to crack some skulls, but that wouldn't help any. They would still be partying with busted lips, bruises and stitches in their face. They are 19 year old party animals that have the brain a size of a peanut. My family and I will not be renewing our lease in the zoo, known as Water's Edge Apartments.
The following incident happened on July 4, 2005: My wife, 5 month old daughter, and I came home from a family get together to find water pouring down from the ceiling fan in the dining area. Our dining room and kitchen was flooded with water coming from an apartment above and behind us. We contacted the maintenance and the fire department. The fire department arrived first and turned the water off to the building. A water hose had busted from our neighbor's washing machine. He had been out of town on his honeymoon. One of the office staff, that lives next door, came to check on her apartment, but did not concern herself with us. We had our friends and family over within 30 minutes helping us to remove our belongings. The on call maintenance worker was more concerned about our neighbor's apartment and did not help us. My family and I stayed at my in-laws house for the night. The next morning we came over to the office to talk to the management. The assistant manager showed a little concern, but the manager told us that the maintenance staff would take a look at our apartment later to determine what steps to take next. After they "checked" on the apartment, she said that our house was livable and that they would work on it for a few days. My wife and I decided to stay at her in-laws for the next few days so that the maintenance could fix our apartment. I came back to check on our apartment 3 days later and found it in the same condition as it was on the 4th of July. The carpet was pulled up and a floor fan was blowing underneath it. NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE AT ALL! My wife contacted the corporate office in Texas and told them the story. A representative arrived the next day and saw the condition of our apartment and was in disbelief. She had the maintenance over there to pull up all of the carpet in the apartment and to re-paint the walls and ceiling. She gave us a month's free rent and apologized for the inconvience. One week later we moved back in. We were out of our apartment for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, the manager has got to be one of the coldest people that I have ever came in contact with and she still has not apologized for her actions that week. She should be removed from her position for her lack of people skills! My family and I will definately not be renewing our lease in the water park A.K.A Water's Edge Apartments.

I lived at Watersedge for a long time. To start with The maintenance team is one of the best I have ever seen. Oh ya I am a Mintenance Supervisor on a very larg complex. I have seen this staff out at all times day and night working to make a resident happy. I have seen some of the things they have to to do just to make some one Happy. Well let me be the first to tell you Some of it does not even meet what a real emergency is. But SIA has higher standerds then most MGT CO's. Oh and that manager that was spoken of Well let me be the first to say she has a heart the size of Texas and is always willing to go out of her way to help a resident. She has even higher standards then SIA. And wants her staff to meet these standards. Just an FYI sheet rock needs to dry before it's repainted and when it's fresh water you dont have to change out carpet. I also know this rep that came out because I worked with them before. They just like to toss there weight around. They dont know crap as to what it takes to run an apartment complex. If they left this staff alone they would be the best the city has to offer. The Lead maintenance man at waters edge is the only guy in the city I would work for as a supervisore over me be cause he does care and he knows what he is doing. Also i know first hand when a resident has had a major issue in there units they have been offerd to stay in the model. The reason I know that i used to live near it. As for the noise apartment complexes have to fallow fair housing rules and we have to send out notices so as we can have proof in court when we do give the boot to unrully people. But hey I was on of the party animals and I am not in my teans I am a father of two boys and a wife and i am in my late 30's. This guy just sonds like he just wanted to wine a little i hope he had a little cheese with it. Watersedge is a blast to life at and the staff is forever doing things with and for the residents.
