While I was trying to find a place to rent from 1000 miles away, I was very impressed with Barbara and her professionalism. Even though she was off-site when I arrived, she made sure her replacement, Rene, knew I was coming. At first I was a little put off by the "brown-ness" of everything-- the grass, trees, fishpond and all interior walls. But once I got my stuff moved in, it started to look better. I don't think anyone really checked the apartment after the previous tenants moved out---there was still a lot of cleaning to be done. I gave management a list of things that HAD to be fixed to get it in livable condition, and that still took over two weeks. The handy man does not inspire confidence, it takes several tries for him to get it right, and some things that were replaced/newly installed when I moved in are already falling down. So, if I can fix it myself, I do. But-- the apartment is huge for the price. I love having a fireplace and two really nice patios. Management has fixed the roads and the perimeter fences and they are working on the gates. My end of the complex is very quiet and I have great neighbors. Close to everything you need-- and very nice to be so close to the lake. If I don't change jobs before my lease is up, I will definately re-sign. One bad thing-- nobody seems to enforce "pet rules" Many large dogs, some just roaming around and tons of poop in the grass :-(
