Let's be honest...where in OKC can you live in an apartment without one problem or another' Anytime large numbers of the population live so closely together, there are going to be problems. I was very aware of the crime/drug/gang problem in the complex 2-3 years ago when I lived in the back with my family. My apartment was just below where the shotting occurred. Even the office & maintenance staff were too afraid to answer complaints. They asked for a chance to prove their good faith in remedying the problem and offered to let me move to one of the front apartments and have done an excellent job of removing those tenants responsible for the problems. Most people don't understand the necessary criteria and difficulties in proving criminal activity and legally removing them. It's costly, time consuming, and very dangerous. In addition, they now have a very knowledgeable, hard-working maintenance staff who do respond immediately to tenant work requests. I have lived in some apartments where maintenance staff enter your apartment and leave windows or doors open, eat your food or smoke, and sit on your furniture...and never leave a work invoice to tell you why they were there in the first place. This occurred at Meadowcreek on NW 36th Street when no work order was even turned in...I came home and thought my apartment had been broken into. Instead, a maintenance man entered my apartment, left my patio door wide open, left all my lights on, and moved my arm chair out on to the patio and smoked, leaving several cigarettes in my flower pot. The maintenance staff at Willow Cliff are courteous, friendly and I no longer feel the need to be present when a work order is completed. I've lived there on and off for a total of 6-7 years and have recently had to move to help with my grandson who is ill, but I plan to move back on the lake. I would recommend Willow Cliff to anyone who enjoys living on a lake.
