I originally moved here when McShea was managing the property into one of the larger one bedrooms. Since the property has been purchased by Vanguard Properties, I won't talk about McShea. I moved to one of their larger 2 bed flats and requested an upgrade. After several different move in dates I was finally given the OK. This was after my original leasing agent was fired and just before the new manager quit. The upgrade, I was told, would include hardwood floors in the living and dining areas, ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, new carpet, new appliances, and new paint. The hardwood floor was installed and the ceramic was, also. It does have the same carpet in it, stains and all. This was reported at my first walk through, even though I never got a walk-through sheet. The appliances were the same appliances that were in it. New paint and lighting fixture were installed. When questioned about this the new manager (since the original one quit) said that because the original carpet was in decent shape, they could have someone clean the stains. No one has. The dishwasher was replaced, but so far nothing else. I moved in in December and have had a problem with the closets and area by the patio door flooding. Not good on a hardwood floor. This has been reported to the management at least 4 times by myself, and the previous tenant of this apartment reported it, as well. So far all that's been done is one of the closets had the padding removed. It still flood when it rains, and the mold is starting to make me sick. We'll not get into the property and family heirlooms damaged or destroyed. I have had property stolen, someone was robbed at gunpoint in front of my apartment, some of the security lights finally got fixed, my neighbor has been almost robbed at knife-point (he drove off), another neighbor had his truck broken into and transmission destroyed (they couldn't drive a stick), and others have been robbed at gunpoint elsewhere in the complex. There is supposed to be a fence going up, but that has been the story since December. So far nothing. When questioned about a lower rate since the apartment doesn't meet the criteria given for the upgrade, I was dismissed by being told it was not as I was told. Only flooring and paint were included and not the appliances. I still haven't gotten the walk-through sheet, a copy of my rental agreement, or anything fixed. I took the carpet and other padding out myself since I was starting to get sick from the mold.
