I've been living in Wilshire since last August. The problems started the day we moved in. While we were doing our walk-throug there was maintence guys in our apartment placing peel and stick tile in the kitchen and bathroom. We couldn't even use the shower for 2 days to make sure that the glue on the tile had time to dry. Also, our dishwasher didn't work, there was cracks in the window by the kitchen, and our sliding glass door is completly off track. It is so crooked that we have to keep a blanket along the bottom to keep out the air. We were told that all these problems would be fixed in a week. This is now the end of April and nothing has been done. Back in January, when it snowed and iced, our water pipes froze. After 2 days of trying to get maintence out they finally showed up. They cut a 4 foot by 4 foot hole in my brothers closet wall, took out the insulation and threw it on our clean laundry. Then they put a space heater directly on the pipes, and after they got the water back going, they didn't patch up the hole, it is still there now. Also, they did something so that now our the water facet to the tube always has a stream of water coming out, enough so that our hot water heater is always running, which jacked up our electric bill to now about 250 dollars a month. And now, last week, the handle of the facet in the tube now shoots water out and it's scalding hot. My brother and I have been able to tape a dish rag on the facet so we can atleast take a shower. Another thing that really got me upset was when the heating element of our stove broke, yes broke, we were watching t.v. and heard a very loud bang and then we started smelling something burning. The next day, I was in the office and the manger himself told me it would take about a week to fix. Long story short, 3 and a half weeks later a guy from maintence showed up with the WRONG part!!!! I wound up going to and appliance store and buying the part myself. When i went to the office to see about getting reimbursed I was actually laughed at!! The manager looked at the reciept and told me I should have taken care of it myself. Me and my brother's lease ends in July but there's a great chance we won't be here for it.
