I have lived here for a little over a month now, and would like to give an HONEST evaluation of the property (so many of these eval's seem highly suspicious). Is this property a palace' No. But NO apartment complex is. I have been treated fairly by the maintenance staff. I had a clogged drain twice, and both times they were at our unit on the same day to fix it.
For anyone wanting to exercise, the fitness center IS nicely remodelled. It has poor ventilation, but the equipment is nice and they have indoor tennis, basketball, and racquetball courts, as well as a HUGE indoor pool.
As for safety - I have seen the police in our complex only once and things are quiet every night. There is a 10PM curfew weeknights and midnight on weekends. This does a good job of preventing the "parking lot bums" from causing much disturbance. And gangs' Please. Ther are no gangs here. I lived in Chicago for three years. Seriously. There might be minorities living nearby - which leads biased white people to claim they see gang members hanging around here...(by the way, I'm white).
All in all, this is a decent place to live. It's not exotic or plush, but it is quiet, safe, and affordable in comparison to some of the other dumpy complexes in the area.
The units are in need of updating, but it seems they are working on that a little at a time (some of the townhouses have been newly remodelled). When you are out looking, look here, you might find it to be worthy of your time.
