I've lived in Chapel Ridge of Shawnee for over 3 years and it has gone down hill every year. The thugs, drugs and LOUD NEIGHBORS are driving me to my breaking point. I would break my lease in a heart beat, but they are going to charge me $5OO.OO to do it. Complaints go in one ear and out the other with Management. The "Security Guard" is a joke. I HAVE HAD IT! If you are thinking of renting here, PLEASE think again.

Couldn't agree with you more!! Maintenance is a problem. The maint. guys are nice guys but they do half-a** work and it takes forever to get them out to see about a problem. People sit in the parking lot and blast their stereos with the bass turned way up. It's turning into a ghetto and what's sad is that these apartments used to be some of the best in Shawnee. All I hear is how Shawnee wants to bring new growth into the town but all we're attracting is these ghetto thugs. I've heard the old management was wayyy better than the new management that's here now. We can't even get some of the maintenance stuff done because they owe money to too many people and can't get the supplies they need to finish the job. The so-called "security guard" or courtesy officer or whatever he is ... told one of the tenants who called him about a noise problem (a car stereo with LOUD rap music and the bass turned up) to "go talk to them about it yourself" .. He wouldn't go out there himself and do it!!!! It's really too bad because these could be very nice apartments to live in but I'm afraid it's just going to turn into another Shawnee Slum (like Shawnee isn't full of slums already!) The one good thing is that the parking is pretty good.. never have a problem with that. I wish the people were friendlier but I guess they are all afraid because it's so much like a ghetto around here.
