I have been at 40 north for almost 2.5yrs now. At first it seemed ok, but after having to tough it out, i have decided differently. The parking is horrible because of all the people that come and party EVERYNIGHT of the week. You have to park clear at the back in a dark area and walk quite a distance to get to your apt. Speaking of partying. Well, if you are one of those ppl good for you 40 north is the place for u because you wont have to worry about getting tossed out on ur ass for distrubing the peace. Forget going to the management about noise or parties or even maintence because they are nice, but nothing ever gets done. They tell you to handle it, go talk to your neighbors. Excuse me have you seen what some of them do. overall it is a very scary situation to deal with. I was woke up one morning to my neighbor screaming for help and her boyfriend had almost beaten her to death. besides that i see the police there almost 10 to 15 times a day. there have been drug busts and dealings. And there are gangs that walk around at all times of the day, i have heard what sounds like gun shots early in the mornings. Also, about maintaince they have no clue what is going on. I have lived in my apt for over 2 summers now. every summer in the hottest months my air would go out, and water would pour out of my ceil. when i would call they would put me off for weeks at a time. But, the best part is that i had them come into my apt over 30 times to try to get the thg fixed, but everytime as soon as they turned it back on and left it would start again. Also, my refrigerator sounds like it is on its last leg it clangs and bangs about every 15mins and it is getting louder. The stove over heats set it on 200 and it ends up way over 550 in less than 2 mins, isnt that dangerous' Oh yeah, while i am on dangerous what about outlets that shortout, isnt that i fire hazard' i would think that it should be repaired quickly, but it has been over six mths since i have put in the work order to the office and i havent seen maintence yet. One last thing on the maintence thing if you like breathing this isnt the apt complex for you. about once a mth they come in with a can of spray paint and spray over the vents, this is known as cleaning the vents. So, if your looking for apt at 40 north look at the vents you will see what i am talking about there are painted dustballs, inside where the blowers are is 10 times worse. I currently cant run my air conditioner because it blows dust and mold you can smell it. So, if you move there if you want things taken care you have to do it yourself. The rent is reasonable, but the things you have to worry about and put up with dont seem worth it looking back because if you are looking for a quiet, safe place to study 40 north isnt it. To whom it may concern: It seems to sound a little ridiculous that you have so many complaints about the apartment complex that you have been living in for 2.5yrs. I have lived here for MORE than three years and not once have I heard a gun shot in the morning, at night or during the day. FYI there is a police man that lives on property. He also drives through when he is on duty. As far as everything else this is an apartment complex and no one is perfect. And if you have so many problems why don't you inform the office.

sounds like management trying to make them selfs look good. you should be ashamed, if u want to live in a nice apt. complex at nice rates look at cedar oaks apts.
