Years at this apartment: 2003-01-01 - 2004-01-01
My husband and I moved into the Lift in July of 2003.
After a few weeks, some crappy loud party boys moved in and made us unhappy, but the management has been great in dealing promptly with any problems weve had, even fixed stuff they didnt have to fix - like putting a new doorknob on one of the bathrooms because the old one didnt have a lock.
Our apartment is huge...
two bedrooms, 1.5 baths and almost 1100 square feet! We painted our walls when we moved in (although I think this is technically against the rules!!) since the apartment was kind of boring when we moved in.
The outside of the buildings are not beautiful, and some areas need better lighting at night, but the inside is what you make it, and weve made ours a home.
I plan on staying here until a) I move out of this state or b) I can afford to buy a home.
Just a side note about some of the old complaints: We got a new manager around the time I moved in so I wonder if some of the old complaints werent because of the old manager.
And finally, when I went in to sign a lease for July 2004-June 2005 they dropped my rent from $425 to $390.
I dont think you can beat that! vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
