This is the worst town to live in

I have lived in Westbrook for 1.5 years, and have lived in Stillwater for 4 years. I am counting down the days I get to move out of this hellhole of a town, and go to a real school for graduate studies. Bottom line - westbrook is best place to live in Stillwater, but still really crappy. I have a maintanence problem every week. My neighbors have problmes too, and it takes over a week for the maintanence guys to come (they are really nice, but the place needs more maintanence people). The maintanence people will enter your apartment without leaving a notice that they been there, which makes me nervous. My neighbor had water leaking from their ceiling onto the toilet and shower for a month, it took one week for the maintance guys to come, and three weeks for them to fix it. Apparently, They didn't clean up their mess either. The blinds on the windows are really crappy and keep breaking and falling down. I have a light in the kitchen that flickers. The kitchen looks like it is from the seventies, and the carpeting is really old in some apartments. The grounds look terrible all of the time, full of litter and overgrown weeds and bushes. The manager (though usually adequately nice) complained to me once for making a maintanence request on a Friday (like they were going to fix it the same day anyways). There are positives - plenty of parking, they allow dogs, rent is reasonable, there isn't much fine print on leases, it is very quiet, and it is in a nice part of town. My advice to you is to not ever, ever live in Stillwater. It may be the most depressing four years of your life - but if you're finishing school here and need a place to live, Westbrook or Linden Park next door are the best apartment options, other than some really nice new duplexes over at Walnut and 19th. I am recommending this apartment complex only if you are looking for a quiet, reasonably priced place to live. You may have to deal with maintanence problems (with your apartment falling apart, maintanence person is nice), but you do everywhere in this falling apart town. But don't live in Stillwater if you can help it.
