Ya it may be a cheaper place to live in Stillwater but the suffering you go through living here isn't worth saving 50 bucks a month.
I have lived here since 2004, when I moved in this place was great. The management was great but that guy is long gone and Westbrook went down hill super fast after that! I honestly don't even know where to begin this review but here we go...If you enjoy living next to drug dealers or little Mexico city this place is where you want to be.
My bathroom for the past 1.5 years has been a mold factory. I have been trying for the past 6 months to get them to repair the pealing paint, the messed up drywall and molding walls but if you don't hold their hand and make them fix it the day you complain they magically forget about your problem and tell you that you need to "keep reminding them"...not very good business practices to me. I had a gaping hole in my bathroom ceiling where the upstairs shower was leaking nasty bathwater into my bathroom..it took them over three months to repair that hole, they still have never painted the crappy patchwork they did and now its starting to mold and peal away again. The repair guys will come fix a problem and not clean up after themselves. My sink was leaking the other day and I came home to a counter top covered in black goo with stuff splattered all over my mirror...my sink got fixed but they don't seem to know how to finish the job.
4 units share the same plumbing so if some retard upstairs and a door down decides to clog the toilet up you get a surprise in your apartment too. We have had the sinks and toilets overflow multiple times where it floods our entire bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with a wonderful brown water that leaves a even better smell behind. Ya they have carpet cleaners come out but you still have to put up with raw sewage for several days. Then they try and blame you for it and tell you not to flush certain things or put certain things down your garbage disposal when you haven't even been home for four days so its obviously not our fault, but another lovely drug dealing tenant of theirs next to you trying to get rid of his "stash" before the cops bust down the door.
I have lived next to drug dealers since I moved in. The cops visit this building at least twice a month to arrest someone or haul 5 bags of something out of someones apartment. I had an aspiring rap artist living above me for a while who thought that 10,000 watts of music wouldn't affect my living experience. I complained multiple times about the noise and nothing ever happened.
The walls are so thin you can hear people laughing three doors down. If you live in a downstairs apartment you can literally hear every step and every word they take and speak and if they have a dog you will never get any sleep cause its constant pitter patter all day and night.
They have plenty of time to completely renovate their little office that they get to spend the entire day enjoying but cant come fix my moldy walls with nasty upstairs bath water dripping into my shower.
I cant even take a shower without the water turning from scalding hot to ice cold. I have complained multiple times and they say thats just the way it is but the previous three years I lived here it never happened once so something is obviously wrong.
The office staff treats you like a 5th grader and the little office assistant has an attitude of a 14 year old and has never heard of how to treat a situation in a professional manner.
Half the time I don't even have a parking place due to the constant amount of cars parking here and leaving 5 min after they pay for their drugs. The pole light outside my building burned out several months ago so we have to take our dogs outside in complete darkness, combine that with Mexico city two buildings away and constant drug traffic it can get a bit dangerous with no light.
They have the most expensive/disgusting laundry facility around. Half the washers smell like absolute crap and the dryers half the time don't even get your stuff remotely dry and that is definitely not overloading them!
There is a pack of cats that call this place home. They crap in all the flower beds and "volley ball courts". The smell is horrible and I have complained about that too but with nothing done once again. I don't even wash my car anymore cause its covered in cat prints the next day if I do.
Here are the positives: Its one of the cheapest and they keep the grass cut.
Believe me this is not a case of the squeaky wheel getting the grease...this place is horrible!

I can confirm the drug dealers have been rampant here, but I have not lived here long enough to have a major maintenence issue. There has been lots of trouble in my building with the drug dealing, but management did evict them once the police had evidence. Probably would not rent here again.
