Avondale

 

This is not a bad place to live but for sure not the best.

I've been living at Avondale for 1 1/2 years with a roommate for 1 year and my experience with Avondale has been ok to fair depending on the topic.

My problems with Avondale stem from the area of town its in not necessarily the apartments themselves.

Most of the complaints from apartments seem to be avoidable if people pay attention and are adament about repairs and such but still though I'm not too happy living here.

I tend too feel very unsafe.

Noise is OK, everythings ok, but i hear about alot of breakins and robberies around here.

A neighbor was doing a routine walk at 5am with his dog and he got beat down and robbed.

I did have problems with maintenance but if you keep at it they usually take care of things.

I loved Avondale at first but then I started to grown weary of it.

I'm sorry to say that I was known to be loud at rare times (parties, get-togethers, loud music) but there was never any trouble making caused by us (breaking into cars, vandalizing) just young people having fun.

My loudness was few and far between and I was quick to make amends with the office and neighbors.

I had good neighbors with the exception of one but it turned out ok.

I could write a book about my experience at Avondale but I won't.

To summarize its an ok place to live but DON'T make this place a long term apt.

and get renter's insurance.

Rent is pretty good.

To quote a former tenant who is a friend of mine, "You get what you pay for at Avondale."
