Avondale..Hmm, the only good thing about these apartments is the price..BUT you get what you pay for right! I have nothing good to say about their grounds,safety...no safety at this place; just behind my fiance's apartment was a murder, raping, and shottings, heard of many of many of apartment break-ins. We have seen ambulances and many police in the area. Maintenance respond time is anywhere between "when they feel up to helping residents to your issue isn't priority, it can wait", If your neighbor smokes you do also (the smell comes through horrible and stinks up your place and clothes, etc).
I have some friends still there (only until their lease is up and their out) and in their apartment more than half of the outlets don't work and haven't for more than ONE YEAR! Their neighbors also broke into their apartment while they were out and stole electronic valuables.
Also, the buildings in the front by the main road (71st), one of them caught fire and the owner of this place, managers, whatever have not been efficent in clearing out the area. It still barely stands today (about one and half years later) looking horrible. Shows they are in no hurry to help their appearance. Most places (worth living in) would have had that gone and started a re-build asap!
I do NOT recommend these apartments for anyone!!!! I could still go on of annoyances and problems.
