From the day we moved in we had problems. I moved down here from Michigan and waited a whole month before finally making the move down here. You would think that would give plenty of time for them to ensure the apt. was ready for me to move in. You would be so wrong. The first time I tried to run my dishwasher it leaked all over my kitchen floor. there was dead bugs inside the stove and all the cabinets. There was nails sticking up from the carpet and it looked patched up in places. The front door was about to fall off the hinges. My toilet tank wobbled around. The faucet in the tub broke off the first time i turned it on and water went everywhere. There was never any parking available. The neighbor sold drugs and we always had people knocking on our door. It always smelled of marijuana. We had ants crawling everywhere. The worst experience was when the woman above us flooded her toilet. It began as one leak in our bathroom, then spread to several leaks in the bathroom, then we had more leaks spread to the bedroom, soaking the carpet beyond repair, ruining the ceilings. I had to go up myself to turn of the water going to the woman's toilet because maintenance was taking their time getting there. Instead of immediately asking if we wanted to move to a new apt. they offered to let us stay in a show apt. until they fixed ours. After a week of inconveiently having to run back and forth between apts., our apt. was still not even close to being repaired. Maintenance was leaving our door unlocked and leaving lights on during the time they say they were repairing with all of our belongings still in the apt. All of our towels and bathroom supplies and even some of our pots and pans were ruined during the leaking trying to clean up or catch water. Our electric bill was run up by fans being run 24/7 trying to dry the irrepairable carpet with no compensation. The manager, Stephanie, told me we had no choice but to let them fix the apt because they thought it was still livable. To my knowledge I don't believe she ever visited to see the damage done. It finally took me calling the corporate office for them to let us move to a new apt. I received a call from Stephanie after the corp. office contacted her. She had a very rude tone and asked me why I had called corp. They then reluctantly allowed me to move and tried making me sign another 6 month lease, I refused but they did make me sign another lease extending the original 10 days. At our new apt. we never have parking due to people who don't live here always taking front parking spaces. I had people offer me drugs many times right in front of my door. They would sit on my steps selling drugs. Security drives around all night doing nothing until they see police cars on the property (which happens multiple times a day), then they act surprised about what's going on. That's if they're not standing around talking to their friends or smoking themselves. There are constantly groups of people loitering around, peeking into cars. Mine has had evidence of someone trying to break into it several times. All of the office staff seem to have an attitude toward me since the move, with the exception of Hope, who has been amazingly helpful during my stay and during the moving process. She's the only good thing about this complex. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. It has cheap rent but it comes at a much higher price. These apartments are just not safe or livable.
