Looks can be deceiving...

At present, I have resided at Creekwood II (formally Columbine) for fourteen months.

My apartment interior is very nice to "look at", but looks can be deceiving...

The only "major" problem I have had is the condensation pan (located in the downstairs powder bath)became clogged and overflowed...causing water to warp the ceiling and stain/discolor the top part of the wall. Although the problem was fixed (after two attempts though), the maintenance staff, or whoever is responsible for redoing plaster and paint, never showed up to fix the warped (hanging down) ceiling or discoloration (water stains) on the top of the wall. Regarding this matter, I had called the office several times to no avail, and finally gave up, leaving the bath "looking" shabby.

A few buildings down from mine resides young adults who are EXCESSIVELY loud (including their car stereos) and disrespectful. There were times when they would be yelling, or fighting, with each other out in the parking area. This usually occurred in the very early morning hours.

The apartment itself is poorly insultated, and I had very high electric bills during the peak months.

Structual-wise, walking upon certain places on the floor sounded like hitting a board that is loose, making a loud noise and shaking the area. No doubt my downstairs neighbor heard this sound.

Ah...my downstairs neighbor. This person (or persons, not sure exactly who resides there as different people come and go) shows no respect for his/their neighbors. They play their music very loud, making my floor pulsate. When they first moved in, I had gone downstairs several times to ask them to turn it down, which they did. However, it continued, and I tired of having to keep asking them to "turn it down". Their assigned parking space is directly next to mine, and they have a large truck which they would "just pull in" at any angle, making it very difficult for me to park, and sometimes open my door. SOmetimes, I was not able to park in my space at all as they would be right down the middle. I was late for work one morning as this person parked their truck directly behind my car, blocking me in. Although I knocked on their door several times, to ask them to move their vehicle, but there was no respons. It was about half hour before they left.

I did not bother wasting my time advising the office about my "problems" with this neighbor, as my past few dealings with the office gave me the feeling that I was actually bothering them, and they could care less.

One final note, although there are currently VERY MANY vacancies at this complex, several in my immediate area, don't expect Creekwood to woo you to stay. My lease is up next month, and they are actually raising my rent $25.00 a month, which would bring it to market price. I have lived at various apartment complexes in Tulsa for the past 15 years, and this is the FIRST time I've had a rent increase of more than $10.00.
