Things you should know

First of all, these are really nice apartments. I love the floorplan, and it is spacious. That being said, there are a few things you should know.
1. Not everybody pays the same price for their apartment. You can have two of the same floorplans, and you can have up to 100$ difference in the rent.
2. Not everybody is given a "bonus" to renew their lease. My friend, who pays 100$ less per month than I do, got a 100$ off of her renewal month. I ask about it, and they just tell me that since this company took over the apartment, our "renewal" lease is the fact that I don't get charged the full $650, that I should be paying. (I pay 600$) And looking over all the leases there is a wide gap between what everybody is paying, and I should feel priviledged because I am paying "under the market value" on my apartment. So, before you move in you better make sure that there isn't going to be a better "bonus" rent offer. Otherwise you are screwed. And management should know better. The new manager we have since we were taken over by Paramount, is the same manager we had when we first moved in. If anybody knows what is going on, it should be her.
3. The walls are a bit thin...and noise can travel around the fireplace...my neighbors consider themselves something akin to being the next American Idol....but that's all in their head. I also lived next to a family with a teenage daughter. Heard music...tv surround sound all the time.(cars and spaceships flying through the apartment!) I complained about it, management told me to leave this family alone, because it's not them. Hello' Next Door neighbor! They moved out finally. Guess what. Peace and quiet.
4. Back again to management...you better hope that your car tag never becomes expired. My tags did, a bad thing, I know. The next thing I know, the managment has taken it upon themselves to police their own parking lot AND street. I came out to my car to find a horrible green sticker on my window. I moved out of the last apartment because my car had been broken into. Now this'' Who are they to sick their nose into our business and threaten us to have our cars towed' You should also note that I was parked on a public street. Not even in their parking lot, which I never use, because there is no room in the parking lot. After all of this what incentive could they possibly give me to stay' Nothing except they waited to do this 2 days after I signed another year lease.
If you move check all the facts. Make sure the next month isn't going to provide a better discount. Better yet...find a better place to live.
