and don't trust the management about anything. I lived in this mediocre apartment complex for over two years. The building was acceptable, but not in any way impressive. Maintenance is slow to respond, and watch out ladies, if you're single, they'll hit on you mercilessly. I had a bunch of problems getting the management to return phone calls of to address any concerns. After I moved out, they claimed I owed them money above and beyond my deposit (I left the place immaculate). It took me 2 weeks of constant phone calls to get them to finally acknowledge their error and almost a month to actually get my security deposit back. Keep ALL your paperwork. Get receipts for every rent check and hold onto them. Better yet, move into an apartment complex that actually wants you as a resident
