Tenant's rights in Oklahoma:

You, as tenant, must request the return of the money in writing _within six months_ after your lease is ended. Tenant should provide landlord with a forwarding address or new address where deposit is to be mailed. The landlord must return it, with a written explanation of any deduction for damages or rent owing, within 30 days after your written request. If you do not request a refund in writing, the landlord _may keep_ your money once the six months is up.

In our case, we beat the six months written request _easily_ and sent it certified on November 18th. It's now December 22nd and no response much less a check back so we'll be calling them unmercifully and then probably taking them to court! They are crooks as well as horrible property managers of a run-down, dangerous, messy, loud and wholly appalling property. And if they read this, I'm begging......please, _please_, _PLEASE_ take me to court for libel so I can countersue and rip them several new legal holes!
