Nice at first, then it turned into "Section 8"...

--I first started renting in 1999 and it was great, but not too long after it went "Section 8", my car was broken into twice, and then, on the third occasion, it was stolen.

Yes, crime can happen anywhere.

No, of course all the folks that use Section 8 are NOT thieving, sorry people.

I've known plenty of poor people that never resorted to stealing stuff.

However, it's quite coincidental that not very long after it was made available to Section 8 folks, the crime rose.

It may be just a coincidence, but the facts are facts re: crime.

--As far as the office staff are concerned, all the time I was there, I had no problems with them, and they were usually nice.

--Maintenance always responded in a timely fashion when/if a problem arose.

--Noise was an issue...not very long ater it became Section 8.

--The grounds were usually clean and properly mowed/trimmed, etc.

--All of the above info.

written, is from when I was there, from 1999-2005, so I am not sure what Fountain Crest is like now, though.

--I finally got sick of the crime, though, and moved to The Galleria Apartments.

MUCH nicer area AND apartments.
