OK for the price...but shop around

We have been here nearly a year and we can't wait to get out of here. At first it was great...everything that was on our list to fix before we moved was fixed for us. Then a few months later the fridge stopped working. Called and they had someone come out to "fix" it. Well, over $400 worth of food got thrown out because of that fridge, then they finally replaced it. Someone was putting garbage outside and the "porters" told management it was us. I talked to them over the phone about that, and was told that they were sorry and it would be taken off our record. I got another notice for the same thing a week later stating that another notice would also be grounds for eviction. I was livid! I talked to the property manager herself and she told me to disregard them and the next time a porter came in with a report like that on our apartment number she would personally come out and see where it was exactly. Well, within 2 weeks our next door neighbor suddenly moved out in the middle of the month. It's not quiet here like we thought...it's a lot quieter without the next door neighbor though. We were told it was gated community. Yeah, there are gates but ummm...they don't enclose the property and anyone can get to any place on the grounds except the ratty old laundromat.
