I was a fool to sign a 12 month lease when I first moved in. By the time my lease was up, I didn't want to have to move my belongings from my 3rd floor apartment. This complex is available for "low income" tenants, many of which are disabled or the elderly. Since I have lived there (2.5 years), my dining room ceiling has been leaking 80% of the time I have lived there. I don't mean a small leak either. The ceiling actually started falling in! Everytime they say it's fixed, it starts leaking again. For the past 2 months, the shingles above my bedroom have been rolled up and falling on the ground. My bedroom now has 37 spots where it leaks. The management keeps saying they are going to fix the roof tomorrow, but it never happens. I have taken time off work to move my furniture to avoid it being ruined and to also meet with the management. Nothing has been done!I asked to be moved to another apartment and for the management company to pay for my utilites to be transferred, but they refused. I don't make enough money to move somewhere else, so I am stuck. My apartment is totally unliveable!

I have also had my car vandalized there and someone attempted to break into my apartment. I have asked the management to fix the outdoor lighting in my building, but they refuse. There are no lights in the stairwells at night. It's very dangerous! The apartments are also very noisy. People let their children run up and down the stairs at all hours like it is a playground. The pool is not useable because there are always so many unattended children in it. The management never opens the office on time. I have sat and waited for over an hour after the time their sign said they would return.

I have had some horrible landlords, but this place takes the cake! They think because it's available to "low income" people that we don't matter. I hope this place gets shut down. It would be best for everyone!
