Don't Be Fooled

When I first looked at the apartment I was impressed with the space and price. However, I quickly learned that this was the only benefit to this hellhole.
My troubles began shortly after I signed my lease. My apartment flooded because of a loose pipe in the upstairs unit, which caused the water to come through the vents. So..my entire hallway, bathroom, and part of the bedroom was flooded with used bath water from the upstairs unit. I complained to the management and called emergency maintenance. Which did nothing but say, they couldn't do anything until Monday. (This took place on the weekend) Long story short they assured me the leak was fixed. They brought in industrial dryers and did not replace the pad at this time. The apartment flooded again and we dried the carpet again. They had maintenance come and say that the pad did not need to be replaced. Anyone who knows anything about padding, once it is wet it needs to be replaced. I was furious. So..again the management said everything was fixed but my apartment flooded again, this time I contacted headquarters hoping this might spur management at Greens of Bedford and I think it only made things worse. This time I sent a letter and things were fixed and the carpet padding was replaced. The Final straw was Dec. 28 and my apartment flooded for the 4th time. This time the ceiling above my shower came through. It was obvious the 'leak' was not ever fixed. Here is a portion from the letter I wrote the headquarters:
"As you know Case & Associates pride themselves in their focus on service to the tenants. Your management has been trained to meet the demands of managing an apartment complex and strive to set the standard. However, in my experience, your management has done nothing but do a half ass job on repairing a minor leak that has now become a major plumbing issue".
Which is complete -------- the management doesnt even know what service is and are of no intelligence therefore unable to meet any demands besides sitting behind a desk and answer the phone. This last event I also contacted the Health Department because this was a major health issue of human waste. The problem was fixed that following Monday. However, I don't believe anyone should have to go through this much stress because the people at Greens of Bedford cannot do their job. Not to mention the roach problem and the outlets not working. Luckily I only signed a 6 month lease and I will never live here again.

Yeah, and they're thieves too. They're one of the unscrupulous landowners here in Tulsa that extort millions of extra dollars from residents every year by billing them for UNMETERED "water and refuse" uses. Our bill went from $9.00 to $26.00 a month in the three years we resided on one of their dumpy properties, but we decided to move instead of challenging what we knew to be a completely unethical and probably illegal practice in a court of law. I'm surprised no one has yet. Just remember this whenever you see a big red cube with Case & Associates printed on it, and avoid it like the trash it represents. |

Who is maintenance for Greens of Bedford? Do they have a maintenance department that works full time for the apartment complex or do they call a professional plumbing company to come in and fix the hard stuff that they can't fix?

I have been stuck in Tulsa for a year now and both complexes that I have lived in were roach infested. I am begining to wonder if any place in Tulsa is clean.

Moved my family there July 2007 - moved them out Dec 2007.
From the word go the aging building we were in was falling apart. the electric socket caught FIRE when we plugged vacuum in to CLEAN the beaten down carpet they said was new, all counters and appliances were not cleaned. We vacuumed out a POUND and a HALF of some white powder from this carpet. They said it was shampoo. No insulation - you can feel cold air BLOWING into every closed window. The water is suspect in cost - we paid over $ 50 a month and might have used $15 in actuality. The electric socket behind the microwave blew a month into the stay and fried the microwave. The one behind the fridge was ready to go any time. The washer from 1972 died in month two, took 9 days to replace. I swear my wife was calling the office every 8 days to fix or work on something. At move out they started charging us for all this misc bull crap that I now have to dispute. I mean, really. Do they just think people are morons?
