I'm a single mom and have lived her for almost 2 1/2 years and think highly of my apartment. Occasionaly, yes I have a spider or cricket...but who doesn't! It's October for God's sake! Never seen a roach though...I like to keep my apartment clean and tidy to avoid those kinds of things! The maintainance staff seems very well trained and knowledgable. They are friendly and professionally, and have even been willing to help me with odd jobs, like carring my new TV up the stairs for me, and they even took me to the tire place when I had a flat one time. I think it's those kinds of things that really matter. The office staff is nice. The leasing girls change a lot, but the manager has been there for 2 years now, and calls me by name, and always takes my concerns seriously. About 6 months ago, they put out all new picnic areas, tables and grills and redid the playgrounds, and then sent out a survey to see what the residents wanted next...now they just got a FREE Capuchino Machine, "bar" thingy, and a FREE DVD library for the residents! That was nice! I would definately recommend The Greens of Bedford to any of my friends or relatives, the prices can't be beat fot the location and the amenities! This area is so nice and everything on 61st & 71st is NEW and you're right by the Highway! That helps TONS!

i've had good luck living here too been here since June. My bloxk has superb neighbours in it.

Good for you,,, I'm glad your apartment is great. If I had crickets or spiders you would never hear a word from me. I moved into an apartment that was roach infested and wasn't even offered the choice of moving to another in the complex. I went to a lawyer and was unable to break my lease. I'm not made of money. I'm a clean freak and having roaches makes my life unbearable. No matter how many times they spray or I spray the roaches keep coming. I can't wait to move. I have to exterminate my furniture before I move into a new place.

I wipe my house down with Lysol every other day or so...I'm not home often, so I rarely have food - especially not any that's left open - but I've seen a couple of roaches. GoB will come spray immediately, but shouldn't they be addressing why the roaches are there? You must live right near the office - I've never had any of the employees offer to help me with anything (not TV's, rotten neighbors, etc.). And new picnic tables would be great if they weren't covered in gang members.
