Could be better, could be worse

I stayed in one of these apartments with a friend for a few months. They're kept in good condition, at least. The managers weren't too friendly with me, and for no good reason. For example, they happened to "misplace" my rent check one month and then attempted to evict us for not paying on time. I had to pay $28 extra to annul the "lost" check, and then write another check. I'm sure if I hadn't, they would have tried to cash both checks. They also wouldn't help me out or give me information about the check, since I wasn't the primary tenant. (Even though it was MY check, and thus MY problem.)
I never had any problems with the neighbors, the other tenants were generally rather friendly. If not for the bad management, I'd probably recommend this place.
